Imagine for a moment: a young, well-to-do farmer and his family, who have lost everything they own, leaving their homes for a new life in a new country; never to return to family of friends. A young wife, separated from her husband for a year, setting out with three young daughters across the ocean for an unknown land and home. From such beginnings our family has grown and prospered.
The research in this book covers the descendants and predecessors of Fredric Boline, John Bolene, Swan Walstrom, and Alfred Walstrom. These four men came to America from Sweden in search of a new life and a new beginning. John and Alfred arrived in 1868, Fredric in 1871, and Swan in 1877. The Swedish ancestry of the Boline-Bolene-Walstrom families is a strong and viable heritage. The courage, steadfastness, and faith of our forefathers has set an example of which we can be proud.
This book was first printed in 1984, and is intended to be made available to all of the family on the internet and hopefully can be updated periodically. If you should find errors with names or dates or want to update new arrivals, or add more information about your life please let me know. There have been many changes in the past forty years, what changes will happen in the next forty and what will they want to know about their ANCESTORS?
